Southern Rock hard enough to make a man funnel beer

Is what I was listening to on Sunday. And it was ridiculously good, Skynyrd played one of the best sets I've ever listened to in my days. As for the whole day it was awesome, did the rounds in the parking lot a few times with Girth Brooks, Wallace, Mitch, Longo, and other assorted revelers. We had the unique opportunity to become members of the "Utica Club," as I was forced to show off my beer funneling prowess on more than one occasion.
Decon was there, discussing the impending Memorial Day 2006 bash; new venue, more bands- at least now I have something to look forward to for '06. Did I mention cowboys hats and pickup trucks are great accesories for chicks? Because thats out there now, and it was working for most every girl in the parking lot, then again beer my system seems to always go nicely on girls- so thats some sort of triple threat right there.
The one low point of the concert-day occured when this bus full of rank amateurs pulled up (it should be noted here that we too rented a bus for the occasion, and were cool enough to arrive way sooner than everybody) and proceeded to unload; with a lot of dudes climbing out the top of the emergency exit, which made me really jealous in my heart that we didn't do that. I did get a good laugh in though when one guy almost fell off, and spilled his beer, and another guy basically needed the jaws of life to cross through the portal to the roof, easily amused sometimes I suppose. Oh, also the other low point came when we went inside, and were served some of the crappiest beer I have ever had to drink, (we were served by a certain girl who works at MKJ farms, and she shall remain anonymous, except her name is Kim Weeden, and her whole operation is sub-par) for shame folks, for shame.
When I got home from all of this fun (after a subsequent trip to the bar of course) there was much ado in my house, as the brother was getting ready to fly out to Kansas City. So before my brain could object, my mouth agreed to accompany him to the airport, which is certainly a nice thing to do, as Jon is a great guy. But I think he should have done the nicer thing and stuffed me in a closet or perhaps some of his luggage to catch a nap for a small while. More to come on my exciting weekend, perhaps a timeline, or I'll get some little kids to make some sort of popsicle craft deal to lay it all out for you.
